This position leads the Technical Services organization for OPC by setting and implementing its strategic direction to efficiently and effectively provide technical support of the OPC owned and operated generating fleet. As the leader of this organization, they are responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on technical issues across the fleet, leading and developing a team of multi-disciplined engineering managers, as well as establishing and maintaining the standards, processes, and practices that govern the Technical Services organization. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the Technical Services organization maintains compliance with corporate policies and procedures, mandatory electric reliability standards, FERC, EPA, OSHA, and all applicable governmental regulations. It is critical that this role establish close working relationships with their Plant Operations peers to successfully provide support of a safe, reliable, and cost-effective generating fleet.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree with preference in Engineering, or Engineering Technology
Experience: Minimum of 15 years' experience working in a leadership role with a minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience. Electric utility industry experience is required with a strong technical background providing extensive knowledge of power plant design, operation and maintenance. Working knowledge of project concepts, principles and practices. Working knowledge of corporate financial reporting systems as applicable in a projects environment. Must have demonstrated experience producing high-level results in a dynamic environment functioning with minimal supervision.
Specialized Skills: Proficiency with the suite of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Proficiency with a project scheduling software, such as MS Project, Primavera or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as inter-personal skills, interacting with all levels of the organization are essential. Professional engineering license is a plus.
